n excellent Critical Access Hospital in North Dakota is seeking a Chief Nursing Officer to join their dedicated team. This non-profit community hospital has been caring for patients since 1971, building upon the strong history of healthcare offered to the community since the late 1890’s. The CNO reports to the CEO and would enjoy collaborating with the patient quality-focused and supportive CFO and COO.
Job Summary:
Plans, monitors, improves, and directs the delivery of quality patient care, promoting safety and well-being for all patients through the management of the assigned departments: emergency department, inpatient, outpatient nursing services, swing bed, hospital-based EMS, infection prevention, quality, surgery, case management and pharmacy. Actively involved, at the executive level, in the leadership of the organization. Organizes and administers areas of patient care to attain the hospital’s objectives as established by the executive team and board of trustees. Maintains compliance with regulatory bodies at the local, state and federal level. Upholds the mission, vision and values of Langdon Prairie Health and Clinics.

This CNO opportunity is located in the rural farming community of Langdon, North Dakota. Experience:
- Minimum of five years’ experience in hospital patient care services management required.
- Critical Access Hospital experience strongly preferred.
- Prior experience as a Director of Nursing or Chief Nursing Officer strongly preferred.
Certifications/Licensure:
- Current RN license in good standing, capable of being licensed in the state of North Dakota. May operate under Nurse Licensure Compact rules while ND license being sought.
- Maintains valid, current RN licensure in the State of North Dakota while employed.
- Master’s degree is desired but not required.
Wage will be dependent upon experience and relocation assistance may be available.
