Medicaid

Medicaid is a primary source of insurance for low-income and disadvantaged individuals. To complete an application, you can apply online at healthcare.gov or contact our local Social Services office at 701-256-2175.

Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP)

The state of North Dakota provides assistance for working families with children who do not qualify for Medicaid, but cannot afford insurance. To complete an application, visit nd.gov/dhs/services/medicalserv/chip/ or contact our local Social Services office at 701-256-2175.

Insurance Marketplace

The Affordable Care Act (ACA) has developed an online marketplace for individuals to apply for health insurance. The enrollment period for the next year typically begins in early November of the preceding year and lasts through the end of January; special enrollments due to life changes are possible. Apply online at www.healthcare.gov.

Financial Assistance Policy

Langdon Prairie Health has a Financial Assistance policy that is based upon the federal poverty income guidelines. The following information is required for a Financial Assistance determination: A Medicaid approval/denial, your most recent tax return, and three months of recent pay stubs or bank statements.
